An officer was on patrol when he saw a other behind a building where there had been previous thefts. When the officer tried to stop the other, shortly before 3 a.m., the other reportedly continued driving erratically and at a high rate of speed. The officer lost sight of the other but then saw the other crashed into a BMO Harris Bank. Alexander K. Jalaff, the man inside the car being pursued by police, was ejected from the car and killed.
