Deadly force

Deputies went to a home around 9 p.m. to serve an order of protective custody. The order was issued after family members said that the man could harm a family member or himself. When deputies arrived at the home, family members escorted them into the home where they spotted the man with a weapon. Deputies attempted to subdue him by using a Taser. When he allegedly raised his weapon, deputies shot and killed him. Parents were with police during the incident and apparently had tried to communicate that there was no ammunition in the house, and the gun was not loaded.
