Deadly force
Monument police were called around 3 p.m. after receiving several reports of gunshots. They arrived and found several vehicles had been hit, and the suspect barricaded himself inside a home. David Page reportedly was holding a BB gun when police shot and killed him. Page had been shooting at cars and pedestrians with an airsoft rifle. Family reported that police had had previous encounters with David and were able to de-escalate similar situations.
