Troopers and the Nicholas County Sheriff's Office responded to a shots fired call at around 5:10 p.m. Upon in arrival troopers and deputies encountered Jack Thomas Naylor, who was reportedly armed. Police alleged Naylor pointed a rifle at them, and troopers shot and killed him.
