An officer was searching for a suspect involved in the attempted robbery at a nearby Kum and Go gas station. At 11:23 p.m., Dominick Matt was seen walking in the area of the store and was approached by the officer. Matt allegedly brandished a handgun, and the officer shot and killed him.
