Jamarri Daiwon Tarver was allegedly driving a car used in a car jacking when police began pursuing him. The chased ended in a parking lot when Tarver put his car in reverse and accelerated in the general direction of a patrol car, pinning one officer between the door and door frame. Surrounding officers fired 24 rounds at Tarver, killing him.
