Police received a call at 6 p.m. related to a welfare check encountered Landwell Vance McCall armed and holed up in a camper trailer. McCall shot at deputies multiple times. Communication from the man in a camper indicated he wanted to shoot police. The standoff ended shortly before 2:30 a.m. when McCall fired at a deputy and the deputy shot and killed McCall.
