Police chased suspected armed bank robber Rolando Fremista from Riverside County to San Diego County. Fremista pulled into the entrance of a children's hospital in San Diego and stopped after his SUV damaged a wheel. A seven-hour standoff began in which police surrounded Fremista's SUV. Fremista refused to negotiate and shot himself to death instead.
