Around 10:12 a.m., the 911 center got a call about a suspicious man. Deputies responded and encountered Robert Sword, who police said had an unholstered firearm and pointed it at deputies. Sword reportedly appeared ill and was sitting in the middle of the road, and his other was in a ditch. Police exchanged gunfire with Sword and shot and killed him.
