New York State Police attempted to make a traffic stop of an allegedly stolen 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle in the town of Cortlandt. Instead of stopping, Damian J. Simmons fled southbound. The pursuit ended when the motorcycle collided with a Nissan Altima, killing Simmons.
