Deadly force
Officers were called at 9:56 p.m. on a report of more than 20 shots fired. When they arrived, officers saw a white car driving at high speed on Lehman Road. The car then crashed into a fence on the property of Liberty Church of Peoria. Following the crash, two men in the car fled on foot, with officers following. One of the men and the officers exchanged gunfire. Police found him, reportedly with a gun, and he died. Police said he had two wounds, and the one to his head may have been self-inflicted.
