Pursuit

A driver pursued by a Riverside County deputy was killed after crashing into another other. The deputy riding a motorcycle attempted to stop the driver of a black Jeep. The deputy believed the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. After the deputy flashed the cycle's emergency lights, the Jeep driver fled, and the deputy began chasing the suspected drunken driver for about three miles until the driver of the Jeep blew through a stop sign and crashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe. The collision caused the Jeep to overturn, killing the driver, and sent the driver and passenger of the Hyundai to the hospital with nonfatal injuries.
