Deadly force
Officers were dispatched at 8:45 a.m. after receiving a report that Jose Marcos Ramirez had stabbed his mother multiple times and was still armed with a knife. Officers encountered Ramirez running in the street. They reportedly tried to take Ramirez into custody with less lethal foam bullets, but they had no effect. Ramirez refused to drop the knife and advanced toward the officers begging them to shoot him. Multiple officers shot and killed Ramirez.
