A Sylvester police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop around 2:30 a.m. A chase then began that turned into a foot chase. Three hours later, officers say that 911 calls came in describing a person matching the description of the person involved in the car chase. Jakerion Shmoud Jackson was encountered by a Sylvester police officer, and the officer shot and killed Jackson as he brandished a handgun.
