Deadly force

At approximately 3:32 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, the deputy discovered meth and a pistol in the other. The deputy arrested Timothy Alan Wood and Brittany Nicole Yoder for trafficking in methamphetamine and certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol. While the deputy awaited the wrecker service to tow the other, Brittany Yoder began asking for the deputy for help. As the deputy opened the patrol other to check on the arrestees, Yoder immediately exited the patrol other pointing a pistol at the deputy's head. The deputy was able to deflect the weapon and he shot and killed Yoder.
