The FBI's Safe Streets Task Force reportedly was conducting an investigation. During the investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested. A secondary person became involved in the investigation and exchanged gunfire with the officers, and New Britain officer Christopher Kiely and an FBI agent shot and killed Benicio Vasquez.
