Deadly force

Police responded to an apartment complex just before 10 a.m. Police had located a man and a woman after a report of a domestic altercation. They found the woman on the second-floor landing of the apartment. Officers asked her to come down the stairs, and then the man came out of the apartment and fired a shot at police. Officers returned fire. The man went back inside, and the woman was not injured. A short time later, the man allegedly started to fire at officers from an apartment window. Officers again returned fire. He was eventually found dead in the apartment.
