Aaron Pierre Thomas was wanted for an armed robbery in Danville, Virginia, when U.S. marshals and other police surrounded a house where he was staying. When officers arrived, Thomas came outside firing. One of the U.S. marshals was injured. Police shot and killed Thomas, who died about six months later.
