Officers responded about 3:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a man who threatened the reporting party and gestured as though he had a weapon. Upon arrival, the officers ordered the man to do unspecified things, as he walked toward a trailer, but he failed to comply. The man then allegedly turned toward the officers and started shooting at them with a handgun. The officers shot and killed Lance Montgomery Powell.
