Troopers received word of a Mercedes sedan speeding along Interstate 580 in Tracy at about 1:45 a.m. Police caught up to the Mercedes near Foothill Boulevard in Dublin and attempted to pull it. The driver fled, and officers pursued at high speeds, until the driver attempted to leave the highway and didn't negotiate the tight turn, flipping over multiple times and ramming into a sound wall, killing the driver.
