About 12:30 a.m., a trooper tried to stop a white Ford F-150 for speeding. The driver, Angelo D'wan Martin, reportedly was clocked going 72 mph in a 45 mph zone. The trooper pursued him until he lost control and slammed into a tree, trapping Martin inside the pickup. The truck caught fire after the crash. Martin was killed.
