Officers responded around 8 a.m. for reports of a burglary in progress. Officers found a man in the garage. Mariano Villegas barricaded himself inside the detached garage with a refrigerator and then barricaded himself in a car. About 10 a.m. police tried to break into the car, but Villegas charged officers while holding hand tools. An officer shot and killed Villegas.
