Deadly force
About 6:45 p.m., police were called on a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they spotted a man armed with a knife and the officers parked a distance away from the armed man. The officers got out of their other and gave the man commands to drop the knife, but he allegedly kept advancing toward the officers. One officer reportedly fired a pepper ball at the man, but it had no effect. A Taser allegedly was also fired, but it too had no effect. The man kept advancing, and one officer shot and killed him.
