Around 7 p.m. CHP requested assistance from deputies with a pursuit. The person being chased allegedly confronted CHP officers while wearing a tactical vest and armed with a firearm. Police negotiated with the man until around 7 a.m. when the man allegedly fired in the direction police, and police shot and killed him.
