At about 2:10 a.m., a deputy assigned to the Happy Valley Police Department was involved in a other pursuit that concluded near SE 122nd and SE Eagle Glenn Drive. The driver fled on foot from the other, and the deputy shot and killed Jeremiah Wright. It was later found that Wright was driving a stolen other. A handgun was recovered. Most details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.
