Around 6:30 p.m., Carlos Rodriguez produced a handgun after a large fight broke out. The two plainclothes officers responded, and Rodriguez allegedly started firing into the crowd. Two of the shots were in the direction of the officers. Plainclothes Officers Suarez, 27, and Officer Lesesane, 23, fired at least six shots, killing Rodriguez.
