Pursuit

Around 1:45 a.m. offices saw a Toyota Avalon pass by them at a high rate of speed. The officers pursued and caught up to the other, and the driver yielded at an off ramp. Shortly after stopping, two passengers bolted from the car and ran away. Officers saw the Toyota drive away, and they returned to their patrol other and began chasing the other. Officers saw a plume of dirt and dust at the end of the Bel Marin Keys off ramp and found the Toyota with major collision damage after striking a stop light. The driver fled on foot, but a Marin County Sheriff deputy discovered a passenger in the left rear seat with fatal injuries.
