About 9 p.m., in the area of 300 North 900 West, officers had attempted to stop a man driving a 2012 Buick Lacrosse, but he took off. The officers did not pursue him, but later found the other parked near 300 North 900 West. As officers attempted to make contact with the man in the car, officers shot and killed Paul Finn Rasmussen. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.
