At about 5:30 p.m., Victorville deputies responded to a home near the Victorville City Library. A resident at the home had called 911 saying Albert Perez was in the garage armed with a handgun and causing a disturbance. He was reportedly asked to leave the property but refused. Deputies shot and killed him during a standoff. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.
