Normal police were dispatched at 3:44 p.m. to the Landing Estates Mobile Home Park. The first officers to arrive, Shane Bachman, Evan Easter and Cory Phillips, were aware there was an armed suspect who had shot several people. Ronald Reiner allegedly approached police and started shooting at them. Officers shot and killed him. Reiner had shot five people, killing two.
