Pursuit
Officers in Lawrence began chasing a car about 4 a.m., Woodruff said, but ended that pursuit while still in Marion County. Shortly after 4 a.m. -- about 30 miles northwest of Indianapolis -- when the Kia Soul drove off the road and into a tree. Kamyla Young, 13, who was in the passenger seat at the time of the crash, as well as the 14-year-old driver of the car, Nazire Parks, were killed. Two 12-year-old girls, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were taken to area hospitals.
