Officers from the Westminster Police Department were conducting a surveillance operation in Denver to locate a man wanted for attempted murder in WPD's jurisdiction. Drew Lucero left a home at around 7:30 p.m. Officers tried to contact the man, who allegedly fired a handgun at them. Three of the four WPD officers shot and killed him.
