Deadly force
A man came to the front desk to pick up delivery food at an apartment building at about 12:40 p.m. The front desk worker recognized the man, knew he had been banned and asked a police officer to remove him from the property. The man and officer left the building, and they began to fight. Cedric Williams allegedly pulled what appeared to be a handgun from a bag stashed outside the complex. He reportedly pointed it at the officer. The officer told him to drop it, police said. Though his gun was fake, the man reportedly attempted to fire it before throwing it in a nearby wooded area. The officer tried to shock the man twice with a stun gun, but it was unclear if the man was hit. The man then reportedly retrieved what appeared to be a long gun. The officer reportedly told him to drop the weapon before shooting and killing him.
