A South Carolina trooper was patrolling on SC 905 near SC22 when he attempted a traffic stop for an equipment violation on a other around 3:48 p.m. The other sped away, traveling north on SC 905. The trooper pursued the other until the driver crashed his other into a utility building in a residential yard. Driver Tristan Vereen reportedly fled on foot. When the trooper attempted to place the individual under arrest, a fight began, and the trooper shot and killed Vereen.
