The driver of a reportedly stolen pickup truck, Chase Hammonds, 25, headed the wrong way on Highway 70 while trying to evade a sheriff's office other and struck two other vehicles. Cary Ojeda, 55, and her daughter, Deanna Hernandez, 36, were killed. Hammonds suffered minor injuries in the crash. Hammonds faces two counts of murder, along with charges of other theft, evading police, crossing a divided highway and hit-and-run.
