About 4:15 p.m., deputies saw a truck heading that matched the description of a other stolen during a kidnapping. Deputies attempted to stop the truck, but driver, Anthony Lara, fled. He reportedly ran through a stop sign and lost control of the truck, veered left and crashed into a home. The two other occupants of the truck, a 49-year-old Yucaipa man and a 32-year-old Highland woman, were killed.
