Sa’ed Adnan al-Koni, 26, was a Palestinian resistance fighter from Nablus, in the northern West Bank. He was affiliated with the “Lions’ Den” group, which seeks to unify Palestinian fighters across different factions. On September 25, 2022, Israeli forces ambushed and shot him dead while he was riding a motorcycle in Nablus. His killing came during a wave of Israeli military operations in the area.

Sa’ed Adnan al-Koni was a 26-year-old Palestinian from the city of Nablus, a hub of youth resistance in the occupied West Bank. He was an active member of the “Lions’ Den,” a relatively new Palestinian armed group made up of fighters from multiple political movements, created to foster unity in resisting the Israeli occupation.

On the morning of September 25, 2022, Sa’ed was driving his motorcycle in the Ta’awon neighborhood of Nablus when Israeli soldiers ambushed him and opened fire. According to eyewitness accounts, the ambush was sudden, targeting both his motorcycle and a nearby car. The army claimed the men were armed and had previously fired on settlers from the Har Bracha settlement. The passengers in the vehicle managed to escape, but Sa’ed was fatally shot before he even saw the soldiers. His body was seized by the military forces before they retreated.
