Hana Shukri al-Kawlak was a 14-year-old Palestinian girl from Gaza City who tragically lost her life during an Israeli airstrike on May 16, 2021. She was among 11 children receiving trauma counselling through the Norwegian Refugee Council's (NRC) Better Learning Programme, which supports children affected by conflict. Despite the programme's efforts, Hana and her family were killed when their home was targeted during the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Palestinian armed groups in Gaza.

The airstrike occurred in the early hours of May 16, 2021, on Al-Wahda Street in central Gaza City. Hana was found alongside her cousins, Rula (5), Yara (9), and Hala (12), all of whom perished in the attack. The bombing also claimed the lives of other children and family members, including Dima and Mira Rami al-Ifranji (15 and 11) and their neighbour Dana Riad Hasan Ishkantna (9) .
