Their life

Adam Dahdouh, the 1.5-year-old grandson of Al Jazeera journalist Wael Dahdouh, tragically lost his life on October 25, 2023, in an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The Dahdouh family had relocated there after being instructed by the Israeli military to move south for safety. Despite this, their shelter was struck, resulting in the deaths of Adam, his mother Amina, his 7-year-old aunt Sham, and his 15-year-old uncle Mahmoud, among at least 21 others.

The airstrike occurred while Wael Dahdouh was reporting live on Al Jazeera. Upon receiving the devastating news, he was seen at al-Aqsa Hospital, visibly grieving over the loss of his family members.

Adam's death, along with the other family members, highlights the severe impact of the ongoing conflict on civilians, particularly children, in Gaza.
