At Rest

An 18-year-old from Asira in the Nablus area, Hossam Asaireh was killed while taking part in mass protests following Friday prayers. Like many young Palestinians, he was moved to join demonstrations in solidarity with Gaza and Jerusalem. His family described him as full of life and passion, and deeply concerned with the struggles of his people.
Killed during the Youth-led protests in the area.
Hossam, who was 18 years old, was another victim of the intense violence. Similar to other Palestinian families affected by this unrest, his family is devastated and has called for international attention to the killing of young Palestinians. His age and the context of his death (during a protest) highlight their call for an end to Israeli violence and the protection of Palestinian civilians.
This record exists so that Hossam Asaireh, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
