He was in his final year of university, pursuing a degree in media studies while simultaneously building his career in video production. Ashour's work included creating short films and personal projects that captured life in Gaza. His social media presence reflected his aspirations, featuring content related to filming, travel, and music. In one of his last videos, titled "Words from Gaza," he poignantly asked, "Who is listening?"
