He was the 26th journalist to be killed during the ongoing conflict, as confirmed by the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS).

A plea from the family

In the wake of Majd Fadl Arandas’s tragic death, his family and loved ones have voiced their heart-wrenching pleas for justice and recognition. “Majd was not just a journalist; he was a part of us. He was taken from us in an instant, but his message should not be silenced,” said one of his relatives, struggling with the immense grief of losing a son, brother, and friend. Family members described Majd as a humble and passionate journalist, driven by the need to document the daily realities of life in Gaza. His work had one simple yet powerful goal: to bring the truth to the world, no matter the cost. “The world cannot forget Majd. He died for telling the truth,” another relative said. “Journalists like him should be protected, not targeted.” The family has urged the international community and human rights organizations to hold accountable those responsible for the deaths of journalists in conflict zones, emphasizing that Majd’s death should not be another forgotten tragedy.
