​Abdallah Bakhtelbanat was a school principal residing in Zamzam camp, a settlement for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in North Darfur, Sudan. On November 26, 2013, during a wedding celebration within the camp, forces identified as Abu Tira (Central Reserve Forces) opened fire, resulting in Abdallah's immediate death. Two other youths, Bahreldin Mukhtar (14) and Abdullah Hassan (12), were critically injured in the incident. Bahreldin Mukhtar was a 14-year-old resident of Zamzam camp. On the day of the incident, he was attending the wedding when the shooting occurred. He sustained serious injuries and was among those transported to a hospital in El Fasher for medical treatment. ​

Abdullah Hassan, also 12 years old, was present at the wedding in Zamzam camp when the shooting took place. He was critically injured and, along with Bahreldin, received medical attention at a hospital in El Fasher.
