Following the tragic death of journalist Hamza Abdul Rahman Murtaja on August 20, 2024, his surviving family members expressed profound grief and loss. Hamza was the father of two young children: Omar, who was 4 years old at the time of his death, and Yaser, who was 6 months old, born during the Israel-Gaza conflict and named after Hamza's late brother, Yasser Murtaja. Tragically, Hamza never had the chance to meet his son Yaser before his untimely death.
