Somayeh Rezaei

Young married woman returning home with her husband in Daneshgah Square when attacked by Basij forces. After witnessing her husband's brutal killing, she was shot with 27 pellets to her head and face and struck multiple times on the back of her head, completely destroying the back of her skull. Regime took the bodies and held memorial services claiming them as their own martyrs, even circulating announcements around Daneshgah Square and conducting their own burial ceremonies. Couple was monarchist, not regime supporters. Left behind a 9th grade child.
