How they died

Shot in the chest area by police officers from Mashiriyeh police station in the Mashiriyeh neighborhood. His body was identified two days later on 20 Dey (January 10, 2026) in Kahrizak among approximately three thousand corpses. Officials from the Martyrs Foundation told his family that Morteza Shaneh-ai had become a 'martyr' and did not charge the family for the bullet cost.
