How they died

Shot directly in the head by Islamic Republic suppressive forces in the 45 Metri Golshahr area. Had a master's degree in civil engineering and was unmarried. Family initially thought he was arrested and imprisoned for a week before friends informed them his body was in a Tehran morgue. Security forces did not return the body to family but transferred it to a remote cemetery in Karaj with only parents allowed to attend ceremony. Family was forced to remove the word 'Javidnam' (eternal memory) from death notices by security agents.
