How they died

Shot in the head with a war bullet at Abuzar intersection, in front of a bank in Nahavand. Body was returned to family four days later. Against family's wishes, he was declared a 'martyr' and funeral announcements were published without family permission. Family emphasized he was neither a Basiji nor a member of IRGC. He was an athlete and bodybuilder. Funeral was held under heavy surveillance by plainclothes forces, with family facing restrictions, pressure and threats.
