How they died

On the morning of 27 Bahman 1404, security forces surrounded the village of Chenar in Asadabad, Hamadan, with armored vehicles, cut off the internet, and set up checkpoints on rooftops; hundreds of people (reportedly over 400) were violently arrested and taken to Asadabad police station. This operation coincided with the 40th anniversary of the death of Dey Shafi'i and his son Mani Shafi'i.
