Biography

Mohammed Al-Azzi Ghaleb Al-Harazi was a Yemeni media worker affiliated with the 26 September and Yemen newspapers in Sana’a. He worked within one of the most active press hubs in northern Yemen, contributing to the daily operations of print journalism under extremely difficult wartime conditions. On September 10, 2025, an Israeli airstrike hit the newspaper complex where he and dozens of other media staff had gathered to complete the weekly edition, killing him along with numerous colleagues. His death formed part of what became the deadliest mass killing of journalists in recent history.

Mohammed Al-Azzi Ghaleb Al-Harazi was part of the staff working at the major press complex in Sana’a that housed both the 26 September newspaper and the Yemen newspaper. Although detailed personal information about his age, training, or early career is not publicly documented, his presence within this newsroom placed him among the many Yemeni media workers who continued reporting and producing print content despite ongoing conflict and air attacks.

On September 10, 2025, the newsroom was unusually crowded as employees prepared the weekly edition. During this period, the building was struck by a series of Israeli airstrikes. The bombardment caused catastrophic destruction to the media facility and resulted in one of the largest single-incident losses of journalists in decades. Family, the story I am about to share with you is horrific. According to reports from Yemen, Israeli airstrikes on two newspaper offices in Sana’a killed at least 30 journalists this past Wednesday. As the death toll continues to rise, it appears this will be the single deadliest attack against journalists in the entire known history of the world. And not ONE major news outlet has covered this. It’s absolutely appalling that this isn’t headline news around the world. Frankly I’m embarrassed that it even has to be telling you these facts. It should be everywhere. But that’s why this platform exists - to tell the stories and document the injustice that simply isn’t being covered anywhere else.
